Plain-language summary: DreamLadder is a parenting reference and family records assistant — not a medical device and not a substitute for a paediatrician or obstetrician. Use it to keep your child's records organised and to look up guidance across pregnancy through age twelve. You own your family's data. We provide the tool on a best-effort basis and are not responsible for medical decisions made using it.

1. What DreamLadder Is

DreamLadder is a parenting operating system for Indian families. It helps you upload, organise, and look up records for your child — ultrasound reports, immunisation records, growth charts, developmental screening reports, prescriptions, discharge summaries, and school medical certificates — and provides parenting reference across pregnancy through age twelve.

It is not medical advice. It is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified paediatrician, obstetrician, or other healthcare professional.

AI extraction may contain errors. Always verify important values against your original documents. Never make a medical decision — including about pregnancy care, immunisation, feeding, or your child's health — based solely on data shown in DreamLadder. If you have a concern, consult a qualified doctor.

2. Eligibility and Account

You may use DreamLadder if you are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account.

Currently, DreamLadder is available to a limited number of users during a testing phase. Access may be restricted or revoked at any time during this phase.

3. Your Responsibilities

Records for your child or a family member: When you add a child to your workspace, you confirm that you are that child's parent or lawful guardian. When you add an adult family member, you confirm that you have their knowledge and consent. You must not add records for someone without the required authority.
Accuracy of manual entries: You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you manually enter into DreamLadder, including member profiles, milestone entries, and diary notes.
Personal use only: DreamLadder is for your personal family use. You may not use it to manage records for unrelated individuals, clients, patients, or any commercial purpose.
No illegal use: You may not use DreamLadder in any way that violates applicable Indian law or these Terms.
No automated scraping: You may not use scripts, bots, or automated tools to extract data from DreamLadder.

4. Your Data and Our Access to It

Your family's data belongs to you. DreamLadder does not claim any ownership over the documents you upload or the data extracted from them.

We access your data only to provide the services described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the processors listed in our Privacy Policy (Anthropic, Google, Fly.io) for the purpose of delivering the service.

When you delete a family member or close your account, your data is deleted from our servers within 30 days. Your original documents in Google Drive are not deleted — they remain in your Drive under the "DreamLadder" folder.

5. AI Extraction Accuracy

DreamLadder uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to read and extract information from documents you upload. AI extraction is not perfect. Values may be missed, misread, or incorrectly associated with a metric. Document quality (photo tilt, handwriting, poor scan resolution) affects accuracy.

Always verify critical values against your original documents. DreamLadder provides links to the original document for every metric so you can check the source.

6. Google Drive Integration

DreamLadder stores your uploaded documents in your own Google Drive under a folder called "DreamLadder". We request only the drive.file OAuth scope, which limits our access to files that DreamLadder itself created — we cannot see or access any other files in your Drive.

You can revoke DreamLadder's access to your Google Drive at any time via your Google Account settings. Revoking access will prevent new uploads but will not delete your data from DreamLadder's servers.

7. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep DreamLadder available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features without prior notice during the testing phase.

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will show a notice in the app. Continued use of DreamLadder after a Terms update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The DreamLadder application, its design, code, and name are the intellectual property of Kiran G R. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the application without express written permission.

Your data and documents remain your property. DreamLadder does not acquire any intellectual property rights over your family's information.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

DreamLadder is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

AI-extracted values are accurate, complete, or free from error;
The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
Any data loss will not occur (see our Privacy Policy note on backup status).

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kiran G R and DreamLadder shall not be liable for:

Any decision made on the basis of data displayed in DreamLadder;
Any inaccuracy in AI-extracted values;
Loss of data due to server failure, hardware failure, or service discontinuation;
Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently ₹0, as DreamLadder is free of charge during the testing phase).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kiran G R and DreamLadder from any claim, loss, or damage (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the service.

12. Termination

You may stop using DreamLadder at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email support@dreamladder.in.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to DreamLadder if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or if we discontinue the service. We will provide reasonable notice where possible before termination.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of DreamLadder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
