Children usually follow the same pattern of development and it is good to have reassurance that your child is developing normally in their own unique way. Talk to a doctor or a child health nurse if you have concerns regarding child development.
Watch out for these red flags and talk to your doctor to be reassured that your child is developing in their own unique way
- Has trouble moving eyes or crosses them most of the time.
- Looses a lot of milk from the corner of baby’s mouth
- Keeps their head turned only one way
- Does not watch items slowly pass in front of her by turning her eyes and or head?
- Does not respond to Loud noises
- Does not notice own hands by two months
- Does not grasp objects by 3 months
- Does not smile at people by 3 months
- Can’t support head by 3 months
- Does not babble or try imitate sounds by 4th months
- Does not push down feet with legs when on firm surface by 4th month
